Emoji is an emoji adaptation of renowned venus symbol that have a circle above a cross. The symbol was proposed to promote gender-equality accompanied by 13 female oriented professions emojis to reflect women’s role in the modern world. The inclusion paved the path for new female oriented emojis’ creation with no new character encoding.

This emoji was first introduced in Unicode 1.1 and was later added to Emoji 4.0. Windows 8.0 update by Microsoft was the first to bring in Female Sign emoji on October 26, 2012. Soon Samsung, Skype, Twitter, Google added the emoji on April 27, 2013, June 1, 2015, September 20, 2016, October 20, 2016 respectively.
